Week 4, Day 22+23+24

It’s the 4th week of Dalian stay. Right in front of me I can see the work load stacking itself up as we are running out of time. Another 3+ weeks to go before our research stops in Dalian in understanding the culture of (project) in Dalian. Surprisingly, the china market is pretty different from what I knew about. While using our context of a Singaporean will never allow me to understand the context in China. Visiting businesses and loitering among crowed areas had already become part and puzzle of the research practice that is flowing through my blood. I’m so eager and anxious to seek insights through behaviors, action and spaces. I am just like a vampire that hides is the dark corner while staring at its prey hoping to hunt them down unconsciously. Every move of mine will scare them away and affect the behaviour of their actions. There was no room for mistakes, no time for errors. I needed to understand more and dig into the understanding of the (project) code in China. More than what I can see above an iceberg. Swimming deep down into the icy water and immerging into the even deeper sight of the view of the iceberg that is waiting to be discovered. Only teleporting into a stranger environment helped me learn so much with a whole new opportunity to see the world with a brand new context. Dalian, a land of opportunities.
